Clear Identification of Entries

The Identifying Entries Form must be taped (or glued) to the back of each entry. The name of the cooperative, the name of the individual submitting the entry, the individual(s) who should receive the award, the number and name of class, and identifying title of the individual entry must be included.

Entry Listing Form

Each cooperative must complete the Entry Listing Form listing each entry submitted. Please do not send a separate Entry Listing Form per individual submitting entries. This form must accompany entries mailed to NCFC on or before Friday, October 20, 2017.

Statement of Purpose

The Statement of Purpose should explain fully the purpose of each entry. It is intended to help the judges evaluate the effectiveness of various entries. Some entries require additional information. Please read the Preparation of Entries associated with each category.

Return of Entries

No entries will be returned unless specifically requested. Entries will be returned at the entrants’ expense. Please do not send irreplaceable originals.

Special Evaluation

For a $40 additional fee ($80 for non-members), an entrant may obtain an in-depth analysis of an entry. A professional evaluator will devote exclusive attention to the entry and provide a detailed, written evaluation. Use the Special Evaluation Entry Form. Entries submitted for special evaluation may also be entered in Information Fair competition. However, an additional copy of the entry and standard entry fee must be included.

Group Entries

When a product or campaign is produced for a group of cooperatives, only one submission is permitted for the entire group. The cooperative submitting the entry must list the names of all participating cooperatives on the entry form, as well as the names and titles of individuals who should be recognized if an award is granted.

Deadline for Entries

All entries in the 2017 Cooperative Information Fair must be mailed directly to Becca Stephen, National Council of Farmer Cooperatives, 50 F Street NW, Suite 900, Washington, DC 20001. Entries must be postmarked no later than Friday, October 20, 2017 to be eligible for judging.

Important Note for 2017 Cooperative Information Fair Entries

Please do not submit entries on a CD or DVD disc. NCFC’s computers do not contain a disc drive, leaving staff unable to access and organize these entries. Submit all electronic files on a USB Memory Stick or as links to websites. Also, if you are submitting several entries that are digital files (more than one TV or Radio Spot for example) these can all be saved on the same USB Memory Stick. Please save each entry on the USB with coordinating Class Number, Class Name and Identifying Title as the file name, and be sure to also include a Identifying Entries Form for each one.

If you have any questions regarding the 2017 Cooperative Information Fair, please contact Becca Stephen at NCFC.
