Secretary Vilsack To Address NCFC Washington Conference


Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack will speak at NCFC’s upcoming Washington Conference, providing an excellent opportunity to deliver the positive message of cooperatives directly to the secretary. Secretary Vilsack’s speech will be especially timely, since it will come just over a week before the Department of Justice/USDA workshop in Madison, Wis., to examine competition issues in the dairy industry.

Also on the program for the conference are Isi Siddiqui, the chief agricultural negotiator with the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative; Dallas Tonsager, under secretary for rural development at USDA; and political analyst Larry Sabato.
