NCFC’s committees monitor legislative issues, advise farmer cooperatives, and guide our efforts to promote sustainability programs.

Director Education Advisory Committee

The Director Education Advisory Committee provides NCFC with input and guidance for director education programming to ensure that the programming meets the needs of today’s co-op board members.

Environmental, Sustainability & Social Governance

The Environmental, Sustainability & Social Governance Committee (ESSG) was established to provide a forum for intentional information sharing and best practices within the co-op community.

Government Affairs Committee

The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) monitors and analyzes legislative and regulatory issues important to farmer cooperatives and their members. It develops, recommends and assists with implementing policies relating to such matters.

Human Resources

The Human Resources program has individual presentations and panel discussions. The topics are selected to examine current and future issues in the national and global areas relevant to NCFC’s members. Speakers both within the cooperative system and outside are selected for their expertise and instructional ability.

Legal, Tax, & Accounting Committee

NCFC’s Legal, Tax and Accounting Committee comprises approximately 200 attorneys, tax directors, accountants and other advisors to farmer cooperatives. Committee members are appointed by the NCFC membership.
