Southern AgCredit is a full-service, locally owned cooperative lender specializing in financing rural land and agricultural operations in Mississippi and Louisiana.
We serve the fifty most southern counties in Mississippi and eleven parishes in Northwest Louisiana. From the Gulf Coast to the Ark-La-Tex, we provide financing solutions for a wide array of operations, including loans for land, improvements, agribusinesses, country homes, operating capital, livestock and equipment. Southern AgCredit is home to the largest portfolio of Mississippi rural real estate loans.
We are a member of the nationwide Farm Credit System, with roots dating back over 98 years. In an effort to provide a complete toolbox of financing solutions, on January 1, 2009, we became an Agricultural Credit Association, which expanded our lending authority from strictly rural land loans to also include short-term operating, livestock and equipment loans.
To reflect our status as a full-service lender, we also changed our name from Land Bank South to Southern AgCredit, effective January 1, 2009. In December 2010, Southern AgCredit expanded its lending territory into Louisiana through a merger with Louisiana Ag Credit.
