Farm Credit Service Associations

Background

Western AgCredit is part of the nationwide Farm Credit System established in 1916. Western AgCredit, ACA is made up of two subsidiaries, Western AgCredit, FLCA and Western AgCredit, PCA. These entities are collectively known as “the Association” and also referenced as simply “Western AgCredit.” The Association is a member-owned cooperative that provides financially related services, primarily financing for any agricultural-related purchase. That’s our only business!

Western AgCredit is the leader within the agricultural finance industry throughout the entire state of Utah and in parts of Wyoming, Nevada and Arizona. We provide financing for real estate, livestock, equipment and operating expenses. At one location, a customer can obtain loans with maturities from three months to 30 years. Western AgCredit serves people involved in the business of agriculture, including: farmers, ranchers, nursery and greenhouse operators, forest products businesses, part-time farmers and agribusinesses.

Western AgCredit is an independent, cooperative organization owned and controlled by the farmers and ranchers who borrow from it. A Board of Directors, elected from the member-borrowers along with two outside directors, is responsible for representing the best interests of the organization and its borrowers.
