(August 26, 2019)—”President Trump’s announcement this weekend that the United States and Japan have reached a preliminary agreement on agricultural tariffs will improve opportunities for American farmers and ranchers at a critical time. Many of our competitors have already gained preferential access to the Japanese market and this action will let U.S. producers compete on a level playing field with these countries.
