“It is with great sadness that we have learned that Jean-Mari Peltier, my predecessor as president and CEO of NCFC, passed away late last week. Jean-Mari was a passionate champion of farmer co-ops and their farmer-owners. She guided NCFC through a period of great change in the co-op sector and built a solid foundation for our current work. And even when she was living here in the Washington area, she always retained a special place in her heart for the great agricultural bounty of her home state of California. On behalf of myself and NCFC’s members and staff, I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Jean-Mari’s husband, Jason, her children, Joseph and Claire, and all of her loved ones.”
