Justin Darisse is Vice President at the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives and oversees the organization’s communications, public relations, membership and event planning functions. Since joining the Council in 2001, Justin has worked closely with government affairs staff both at NCFC and at member co-ops to provide earned and paid media support across a number of public policy issues.

In addition, he has chaired or co-chaired communications working groups for several sector-wide coalition including the Coalition to Promote U.S. Agricultural Exports, the Agriculture Workforce Coalition, and, most recently, the Coalition for Safe and Affordable Food.

Prior to joining NCFC, Justin worked in public relations for ScienceWise.com, an internet startup providing information services to research scientists, and the Wilderness Society, a public land conservation organization.

A native New Englander, Justin attended American University in Washington, D.C., and currently lives in Gaithersburg, Maryland, with his wife, Lara.
